First Friends day nursery is divided into different rooms to cater for your child’s age and development. Each of our rooms has age-appropriate toys and activities to cover the different areas of learning. Your child will learn through play, both indoors and outdoors.
The Discoverers Room for babies
We cater for babies from 3 months old. The room is large and spacious to give babies the opportunity and space they need to explore their environment. There is a separate sleep room which will accommodate your baby’s sleeping patterns, ensuring they are given continuity of care that aligns with their home routine.
The Explorers Room for 2 – 3 year olds
Our 2-3 year old room is limited to a maximum of 15 children. The children have access to free-choice activities including sand, water play, arts and crafts as well as a computer. The children are encouraged to share and take turns, whilst making new friends – possibly first friends!
The Inventors Room for 3 – 5 year olds
Our large pre-school room can take up to 27 children. The children have free choice of a variety of activities. Children are encouraged to develop their independence by being given the opportunity to carry out self-help skills, including pouring their own drinks, dressing and undressing etc. When the children leave to go to school they will be confident individuals ready for their new challenges.
